Morality makes us Human, Empathy keeps us Moral

"Morality makes us Human, Empathy keeps us Moral"
this one's from me.

What stops us from doing things that negatively effect other people is our own understanding of what it feals like. How would we feal if someone did it to us?

That is empathy and that is the backbone of our own understanding of right and wrong.
When we are young, our right and wrong is our comprehension of what our parents and other authority figures tell us but as we mature we develop our own opinions from our own experiences.
The occasions when empathy is ignored is usually through an emense emotional reaction (the red mist), when we can completely over react to something that later on will seem so very trivial.
